They are answers to different questions about how much drama you actually want around your eyes.

Russian volume takes a much finer extension and fans it into a cluster of two to six, then attaches that whole fan to a single lash. Russian volume: fullness without the falsies feeling

Russian volume is the middle ground, and honestly the one most of our regulars land on. The handmade fans fill the gaps between your natural lashes, so the lash line reads darker and fluffier even though each individual extension is feather-light. It photographs well, holds up in Dubai humidity, and still passes as "your lashes, but better" in daylight.

It suits almost everyone, but it is especially good for anyone whose lashes have thinned with age or after a stressful year. Because the fans are so fine, a skilled technician can build density that your own lashes could never carry on their own. A Russian full set with us runs about 90 minutes, and the extra time is the point. Fanning by hand is slower than slapping on classics.

Mega volume: full-on drama for a reason

Mega volume is exactly what it sounds like. Huge, dark, dense fans that create a bold, almost eyeliner-like effect. Brides who want their eyes to carry a heavy veil, women heading into a shoot or a big event, and anyone who simply loves a maximal look all gravitate here.

The catch is that mega only works properly on healthy, strong natural lashes. Piling heavy fans onto weak lashes is how you end up with premature shedding and, eventually, gaps. A good technician will look at your natural lashes and tell you honestly whether mega is realistic for you, or whether a dark Russian set would give you 80 percent of the drama with far less strain. That honesty matters more than the upsell.

Russian and mega refills take longer than classic simply because there are more fans to rebuild.

Aftercare that actually keeps them on

The first 24 to 48 hours matter most. The adhesive needs to cure, so keep the lashes dry, skip steam rooms, and avoid heavy sweating. After that, three habits do most of the work: cleanse them gently with a lash-safe foam cleanser, brush them daily with a clean spoolie, and keep oil-based products away from the lash line, because oil dissolves the bond.

Retinol and heavy eye creams migrate more than people realise, so pat them well below the lash line. If your eyes ever feel persistently itchy, swollen, or irritated after a set, that is worth taking seriously.
