Makeup at Para Ella follows three main directions: day glam, evening and party glam, and bridal. Evening and party glam is fuller coverage with defined eyes, for weddings, events and celebrations, while day glam is fresh and polished for work or brunch. The makeup artists are trained to work for any occasion and any skin tone.

Every makeup appointment at Para Ella is carried out by a female makeup artist. Hair and makeup can be done in the same appointment, so you leave the salon ready for the event rather than going home to finish getting ready. Tell the salon the date, the occasion and the look you have in mind, and it will put together a tailored package.

What the clip shows

• The starting point: a bare face, a salon gown and long hair worn loose, with the top section lifted at the crown.
• The finished makeup close up: eyeshadow on the lids, lined eyes with lashes, defined brows and a soft rose-toned lip.
